Our commitment
Capmap is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including users with disabilities. We believe that financial information should not be limited by how you interact with technology.
Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility and cover a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible.
What we do
- Semantic HTML: we use proper heading structures, landmarks, and ARIA attributes to ensure content is logically organized for assistive technologies.
- Keyboard navigation: all core functionality can be accessed using a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse.
- Screen reader compatibility: we test with common screen readers to ensure our content is properly announced and navigable.
- Color contrast: text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements to ensure readability.
- Resizable text: the interface supports browser zoom and text scaling up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Alt text: meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked as such to avoid unnecessary noise for screen reader users.
- Focus indicators: interactive elements have visible focus indicators so keyboard users can track their position on the page.
Known limitations
As a website under active development, some features may not yet meet all accessibility standards. Known areas where we are working to improve include:
- Some data-heavy comparison tables may be difficult to navigate on small screens with screen readers.
We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across the website.
