Platform data

Sources we use for every platform

Official platform websites

Fee schedules, product offerings, supported countries, and account types. Each platform page links to the original source so you can verify it yourself.

Regulatory registers

License numbers, authorized services, and regulatory status from bodies such as the AFM, BaFin, FCA, CySEC, CSSF, and ESMA.

Fee schedules and documentation

Terms of service, key information documents (KIDs), investor disclosures, and published pricing pages for all-in cost analysis.

API documentation

Where available, we review platform APIs to verify technical capabilities, supported markets, and integration options.

Community reports

Verified user feedback and community reports supplement official data. We cross-reference all community submissions before including them.

Financial knowledge base

16 countries, thousands of pages

Our knowledge base is built from thousands of pages scraped from official government and regulatory sources across 16 European countries plus EU-level institutions. This powers our blog content and platform data verification.

Our process

How we process data

1

Scrape and collect

Raw source material is scraped from official websites and cleaned. We extract fee schedules, regulatory filings, and product documentation from each source.

2

Verify and cross-reference

Information is cross-referenced across at least two independent sources. Discrepancies are flagged for manual review before being published.

3

Update and monitor

Our database is reviewed periodically. Fee changes, new features, and regulatory updates are incorporated. Pages display verification dates to show freshness.

Update frequency

How often we refresh

Platform data

Re-verified periodically, with a target of every 90 days. The verification date is displayed on each platform page.

Knowledge base

Updated as new regulations are published or existing rules change. Major regulatory changes (such as annual tax rate updates) are prioritised.

Regulatory status

Checked against official registers when platforms are re-verified. Active warnings are updated as soon as we become aware of them.

Capmap cannot guarantee the accuracy of all data at all times. Platforms may change their fees or features without notice. Always verify current terms directly with the platform before making financial decisions.
